I cofounded Boveda in 2022. We sold decentralized storage on the Filecoin network and stored 1.4 petabytes of client data, which had to physically live somewhere. It lived in data centers in Madrid, Spain and San Diego, California.
We exited the business and built Fungi, a ChatGPT for crypto that executed onchain actions in plain English. The go-to-market was a token, and it reached $9M market cap on Solana with 1,000+ people in our community channels. When we pivoted to a yield agent I launched it on a 24 hour livestream instead of an announcement, building it while people watched. It had $50k in assets under management in the first week.
We started managing more capital under our agents, so we rebranded with a more serious look. Fungi became Sail. I ran product design at both, and our UI and UX got copied across the category. My work then expanded to ecosystem-led growth: the agent plugged into 56 yield sources, and each one meant a team to launch with, co-marketing that ran on both accounts.
It moved $700M autonomously and beat the stablecoin yield market, and the products I cofounded passed $1.1M in assets under management. Two world firsts: the first agent to run swaps and bridges autonomously and without custody, and the first open source permission layer protocol for agents in DeFi, with its harness Sailor on top. Sail is open source now, so other agents can transact under it.
We never paid a PR agency, a design studio or an influencer. I raised more than $1M as a cofounder and ran every surface the story travelled on, brand, product design, film and comms, alone at first and then with six agents whose work I edit all day. Not many people have run all four for their own company. I did, and I can run them for yours.
